The Early Years
I know most of
you will want to head for the bottom of the page and get to the
links to the pictures of me as an adult, but here are some of
my thoughts and pictures of me as I grew up. Maybe it would be
more accurate to just say during my younger years. I'm still not
real sure about being grown up ;-).
People often argue
about the cause of homosexuality. I firmly believe I was born
this way and have memories from very early childhood (like 3-5
years old) of what I think were sexual fantasies, like playing
outside naked with my (male) friends and doing things like riding
our bicycles (or tricycles) naked. I don't ever remember having
any of those thoughts with my little female friends - only the
boys. Those thoughts (the thoughts of unclothed people, I mean)
are still present. National Geographic was my first "dirty"
magazine, like many other boys of the 50s and 60s.

It would seem from
these pictures from early childhood that I spent much of the summer
shirtless, even running around in only
underpants (which
I abhor today). Even though his picture isn't included, I was
with the friend I had those naked fantasies about. Is it any wonder
that I like being shirtless (and pants-less) today? The first
picture is me in the summer of '52. The other two pictures were
the next summer. One was made at the zoo on a ride and in the
other I was riding in a wheelbarrow full of watermelons being
pushed by Granddaddy. A wasp had just stung me near my eye but
the watermelons cheered me up.
Below are pictures
of me chowing down on a burger I cooked myself while a Cub Scout
and a picture with my beagle Smokey, who used to howl all night.
It got so bad, we had to give him to some friends who lived in
a very remote place, where he never howled again. He just wanted
to be able to run and roam. Sounds like some people I know ;-).
And last, are
some of my school pictures. Check out that hair <g>!
I have some more
pix to add, like from when I was in my late teens and my twenties,
but they have never been scanned.
